Minivan Tech?

Okay, I know it's probably hard to imagine any tech in a family truckster....which is really what the minivan is, but I'm pleasantly surprised! We just purchased a used 2004 Chrysler Town & Country Limited and I am somewhat impressed by the features and functionality it came with!

First off, there's the navigation system. Chrysler uses a smallish 4.5 inch display which really limits how much information can be displayed. Its definitely not as good as the navigation system in our 2004 Honda Accord, even though the map data is provide by Navteq for both. The Chrysler also doesn't offer a touch screen, which is simply just a pain in the patukas. That measn you have to use a jog-wheel to select your destination, move the map, etc on the RB1. Stupid, but since its changed with the addition of MyGig to Chrsysler vehicles, I'm not going to waste any more time on it.

The next cool feature that Mopar offers is an iPod adapter for almost all of their radios...mine just arrived yesterday, and with any luck, will be installed later today. I pried the minivan keys from Debra just to have some time to install it.

Oh, here's the before pics from our minivan purchase....I'll post an update once the iPod is installed, up and running!
